What is Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a method of medical treatment designed to stimulate the body’s own healing processes in order to cure illnesses. It is based upon the discovery that a substance in small doses may alleviate symptoms similar to those it causes at higher doses. The phrase “likes are cured by likes” is often used to describe a basic concept behind homeopathy.

Thus, the two cornerstones of homeopathy are that “likes are cured by likes,” and that the remedies are properly diluted to eliminate or minimize their toxic effects.

The science of homeopathy was developed by the German physician and chemist, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, in the early 1800’s. Through numerous homeopathic experiments called "provings", he furthered the known theory that “likes are cured by likes.” Dr. Hahnemann then determined that the effects of the remedies he tested on himself were too toxic at the conventional dosage level. He found that when a remedy is properly diluted, healing is achieved without the severe side effects.

In general, homeopathic products are designed to work with the body’s defense mechanisms and facilitate the body’s elimination of toxic substances. When used in combination formulations which contain measurable amounts of homeopathically-prepared active ingredients, they can be utilized to treat specific indications.

Homeopathy, which has been practiced worldwide for over 200 years, has been proven
effective in numerous clinical studies. Additionally, many internationally recognized medical journals including The Lancet, Pediatrics, British Medical Journal and Archives of Otolaryngology (an American Medical Association publication) have documented homeopathy’s healing ability.

What is Homotoxicology

Devloped by Dr. Hans Heinrich Reckeweg, in the 1950's, homotoxicology is the study of the influence of toxins on the human organism. A German MD and homeopath, Dr Reckeweg sought to combine the strengths of classical homeopathy with modern medical science. The resulting synthesis provides a bridge between homeopathy and conventional western medicine.

In homotoxicology, diseases are considered to be ultimately caused by toxins, whether from stress, external pathogens such as allergens, pollution, toxins in food or food sensitivities, medications, radiation, bacteria, viruses or parasites, or internal processes such as histamine reactions, free radicals or metabolic imbalances (such as blood sugar). Every illness is due therefore to the effects of homotoxins. Furthermore, disease symptoms are said to be the result of the body’s attempt to heal itself and should not necessarily be suppressed.

Homeopathy is safe for all populations including children, pregnant woman, or debiltated individuals. No side effects exist, and homeopathics are safe to take with medication.
